Description
The Kingston Yachtsman holds a reputation as the storm anchor, developed by world renowned designer Nathaniel G. Herreshoff. The increased fluke area design provides greater holding power.
The cast of the palms are in a diamond pattern, thereby reducing the likelihood of fouling the rode on the fluke. It separates into three pieces for easy stowage providing space for heavy storm anchors. Weight is the factor in determining its holding power, which is greater than the Plow or Lightweight – once set, will hold tenaciously and is less sensitive to low scope and is excellent in rocks and heavy weeds. Excellent for use in tight anchorages.
