Sikaflex 295 UV is a 1-component polyurethane adhesive with very high thixotropy that cures on exposure to ambient humidity to form a high-quality elastomer. Sikaflex-295 UV has been formulated especially for marine applications where resistance to direct sunlight is required. The adhesive may be used in particularly exposed areas such as building hatches, port holes or other transparent parts.

How long does it take for Sikaflex 295 UV to dry?
Sikaflex 295 UV begins to skin (form a surface layer) in about 60 minutes at 23°C and 50% relative humidity. Full curing time depends on the thickness of the applied material and environmental conditions, but it typically cures at a rate of 3 to 4 mm per 24 hours under standard conditions.
How to apply Sikaflex 295 UV?
Surface Prep: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of grease or contaminants. Use the appropriate Sika surface preparation products as recommended for the material.
Application: Apply using a manual or pneumatic caulking gun, ideally in a triangular bead to ensure a uniform bond line.
Tooling: Smooth the adhesive within the skin time using Sika Tooling Agent N or an approved alternative.
Curing: Allow the adhesive to cure naturally in a humid atmosphere. Do not use artificial heat to speed up curing.
What is the shelf life of Sikaflex 295 UV Marine Adhesive Sealant?
When stored in unopened original packaging in a cool, dry place (ideally below 25°C), Sikaflex 295 UV has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of production.
